LIVING MY VALUES

Reducing waste is important in my home. My husband (an environmental engineer by training) and I strive to be aware of the environmental impact of our everyday decisions. We try to compost, bike to work often, eat less meat, support local farms, etc. Even if these changes will only have a small impact, we believe in being the change we wish to see in the world.

Throughout my campaign, I've looked for alternatives to typical practices that have adverse environmental impacts. Campaigns can easily generate a lot of waste. By doing things differently, I hope to set an example for future candidates and voters. 

• Fliers: printed using recycled paper

• T-Shirts: purchased at local thrift stores and screen printed locally

• Yard signs: made from 100% biodegradable materials

• Refreshments at Campaign Events: served in compostable cups from a reusable pitcher
